A blog for business analysts seeking clarity and calm
Welcome to Stoic BA
Welcome to Stoic BA, where Stoic philosophy meets the challenges of modern business analysis. If you’re reading this, you probably work in an environment that constantly changes – new requirements, conflicting priorities, unclear decisions. You know what it feels like to navigate uncertainty without losing your mind. That’s exactly what this blog is about.
I started this blog because I’ve experienced how overwhelming our profession can be. Meetings pile up, tools change, decisions must be made quickly – and yet we are expected to provide rational analyses that make a difference. Stoicism isn’t a cure-all, but its principles help maintain clarity, practice composure, and act deliberately, even when everything around you feels chaotic.
“We suffer more often in imagination than in reality.” – Seneca
Why Stoic BA?
- Clarity in uncertainty: Stoic philosophy teaches us to distinguish between what we can control and what we cannot. For business analysts, this means focusing on data, processes, and decision-making fundamentals rather than being swept away by external chaos.
- Practical application: You won’t find abstract theories here – only actionable insights on how to apply Stoic principles at work, whether in requirements management, workshops, or stakeholder collaboration.
- Tools & methods: Beyond articles, I plan to share tools, templates, and practical examples to help you work more productively, reflectively, and resiliently.
“He who is brave is free.” – Seneca
Who is this blog for?
Primarily business analysts navigating multiple roles, departments, and projects daily. But other agile roles, project managers, or anyone working in dynamic environments will also find valuable insights here.
A look ahead
Stoic BA will grow – with blog articles, tools, resources, and eventually courses and community offerings. My goal is to create a platform where clarity, calm, and professional excellence meet.
If you ever feel overwhelmed at work, uncertain about decisions, or like the day doesn’t have enough hours – you’re in the right place. Here, it’s about thinking clearly, acting deliberately, and maintaining composure, even when the world around you is constantly shifting.
“The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts.” – Marcus Aurelius
Welcome to Stoic BA – let’s embark on this journey together.
